100% Natural Kaolin Clay Powder (Kaolin)
For face and body: Mix 1–2 teaspoons of Kaolin Clay Powder with water, rose water, or aloe juice to form a smooth paste. Apply an even layer on cleansed skin, avoiding the eye and lip area. Leave on for 8–12 minutes or until just before fully dry, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry. Use 1–2 times a week as needed. For hair and scalp: Mix required quantity of powder with water or a suitable liquid to form a medium-thick paste. Apply to scalp and hair lengths, leave on for 10–15 minutes without letting it over-dry, then rinse thoroughly and follow with a conditioner or hair oil as desired. For DIY use: Use as a base ingredient in homemade masks, packs, or scrubs as per individual formulation needs.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture, with the pouch tightly closed. Avoid using if the powder develops an unusual smell, colour, or texture. For External Use Only. Patch test is recommended before use.

Frequently asked questions

Kaolin clay, also known as white clay or China clay, is one of the most versatile and gentle clays used in skin care. Unlike many other clays which can be drying, kaolin is gentle enough to be used on nearly all skin types, including those with dry or sensitive skin. Its gentle nature makes it an excellent choice for those seeking a non-irritating cleansing option.
Kaolin is a non-comedogenic clay, meaning it won't clog pores. In fact, it can help to clear pores by removing dirt and oil from them. Because of its unique molecular structure, kaolin has the ability to absorb deep-seated impurities like dirt, grime, and pollution without drying out the skin, making it incredibly useful for those with a dry complexion.
You can use a kaolin clay mask once or twice a week. For those with very dry or sensitive skin, once a week may be sufficient to avoid over-drying. A kaolin mask should be used less frequently to avoid overdrying the skin and allow it to maintain its natural moisture balance.
Kaolin clays have the ability to help absorb excess sebum, leading to fewer clogged pores and a more balanced complexion. If your breakouts are related to an oily complexion, using a kaolin clay mask or product can traditionally help minimize the appearance of breakouts. Even if you have combination skin, applying a kaolin clay mask to your oily areas or T-zone can help manage excess oil and leave your face balanced and even.
If you have sensitive skin, it's always best to do a patch test to ensure skin compatibility. Apply a small amount of the product to a discreet area such as the inside of your elbow or side of your neck, then wait 24 hours to look for signs of redness or irritation. If you're trying kaolin clay for the first time, a patch test on a small area of skin ensures you don't have any sensitivities or allergies to the clay.
Mix kaolin clay powder with water, rose water, or apple cider vinegar to make a paste. Rose water adds a soothing element to the clay when mixed with it, but plain water works just as well. Aloe vera gel and honey can also be added as optional boosters to enhance moisturizing and nourishing properties for sensitive or dry skin.
Allow the mask to sit for 10-15 minutes. You don't want the mask to dry out completely, as this can cause unnecessary dryness, especially for sensitive skin. Apply to clean, damp skin and rinse before it dries completely to maintain hydration and comfort.
Store in a closed container protected from moisture. The dry powdered form can be stored for a longer period of time without spoilage. If you've mixed the clay with water to create a mask, discard any leftovers as the paste is prone to microbial spoilage and should not be saved for later use.
